FIRST: For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology.

First Robotics Competition (FRC) is a robotics competition where high school students have 6 weeks to build a robot to play a field game where they cooperate within an alliance (3 teams working together) and play against other alliances. Rules are strict, time is short, but the fun is intense!

Students not only learn about the world of robotics, but develop skills and interest in a variety of fields. They learn about gracious professionalism and coopertition, 2 crucial aspects of FIRST's philosophy.

This year's competition is called DEEP SPACE. Alliances need to place cargo and hatch panels in the right locations before the next sandstorm hits. You can watch the description of the game in the video to the right.
